About the Presenter
David Whitman | Senior Subject Matter Expert
David is the Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the FDA's Human Food Program (HFP) in the Office of Microbial Food Safety (OMFS) of the Processed Food and Beverage Policy Branch (PFBPB). He is an expert for juice HACCP and preventive Controls for beverage and other processed foods. David provides scientific, technical and policy review for the HFP Office of Compliance and Enforcement on current compliance cases and proposed actions for various commodities. He also has experience in providing expert testimony and declarations to the US Department of Justice on proposed enforcement actions and responds to inquiries into the FDA's Technical Assistance Network from regulators and industry. David is also an FDA liaison to the US Treasury Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) covering alcoholic beverages.
