About the Webinar

​​​​This webinar will cover the basics of brewing microbiology for small breweries (<15,000 bbl/year). Designed for breweries in the early stages of developing a micro program, this presentation provides some of the basic information needed to get started. Topics include introduction to sterile sampling technique, sterile plating technique, different applications for a microscope, and the use of ATP luminometers.

Highland Brewing Co.

Eric Jorgenson is a quality assurance/quality control manager with Highland Brewing Company in Asheville, North Carolina. He has a B.S. degree in cell and molecular biology from Bucknell University. While new to ASBC membership, he has worked in the​ brewing industry for five years in both production and QA/QC and specializes in brewi​ng micr​obiology.
