New Networking Events & Opportunities!

Micro-Communities

During the virtual meeting, connect with your micro-community* for informal discussions and small group networking. We are hoping you will forge lasting business relationships that will help you as you go forward this year and beyond! Make new connections and share your insights on what you've heard, learned, or on any other trending topic. Engage in "face to face" informal networking times using the interactive site Wonder, learn more about this new tool below!

*Note: If you opted out of participating when you registered but now want to join in, contact us at asbcmeeting@scisoc.org and we’ll get you plugged into an open group!

Community Discussion Capability

Each micro-community will have a forum where you will be able to have informal discussions on best practices, deep-dive conversations on program content, and/or co-solutioning common challenges.

Visit our Virtual Hospitality Suite

Hospitality Suite using Wonder- this is a chance for you to learn and get involved with the Technical Sub Committees, stop by Membership Central, learn what's new with the Journal of the ASBC, or just meet up with fellow attendees over a beer.

Meet the Author Events

Look for times to meet with your favorite authors; Charles W. Bamforth, Evan Evans, and Xiang S. Yin, as they discuss their new and forthcoming books.

Coffee Break with Lallemand

On Monday, June 7, put your Starbucks gift card from Lallemand to use and join us for an energy break! You’ll get to meet their team and say thank you! This break is for all attendees on Day 1 of the meeting. (Make sure you check all your email folders to find the gift card sent directly from Starbucks)

Energy Break with Fermentis

On Wednesday, June 9, take a final break and join the Fermentis team for an informal conversation around brewing yeasts. Kevin Lane, Bryan Kreiter, and Jose Pizarro from the Fermentis team will be available to answer any questions you might have following the presentations given during the meeting.

New Networking Platform: Wonder

New this year is Wonder! This fabulously interactive tool gives you the virtual ability to walk around and meet other attendees. It's an all-new way to network! Look for networking times in the schedule and be sure to add them to your agenda.
