Jeremy Moynier

Jeremy Moynier is Senior Manager, Innovation Program and Supply Chain at Stone Brewing. He started his beverage career in wine on the Central Coast of California in 1995 working in hospitality, vineyard operations, and wine production. In 2004 he moved back to San Diego and joined Stone Brewing. As part of the Innovation Team, Jeremy is responsible for new beer development and release and additionally focuses on sensory and quality at the brewery. A big part of his role centers on ingredients, especially hops which includes selection, trials, grower relations, and working with industry groups including the Hop Quality Group, Hop Research Council, and the Brewer’s Association Supply Chain Subcommittee. Jeremy also judges beer at competitions including the Great American Beer Festival.


Alec Mull

Alec Mullis Vice President of Brewing Operations for Founders Brewing Company. He started brewing professionally in Oregon as the sole brewer at Peak Northwest Brewing, then went on to work as the Head Brewer for Big Buck in Grand Rapids in 1997 where he got to brew for Scott Graham. Later he joined the Schelde group as Head Brewer of Arena Brewing where he got to work under the tutelage of Ron Jeffries and brew on their systems throughout the state. Alec made the jump to Head Brewer at Bells working for Larry Bell and under the mentorship of John Mallett starting there in 1999. He then had the crazy idea to start a Draft Beer Dispense company in 2004 called Capital Draft Service.

He couldn’t pass up the chance to join the Founders team in 2006. As Vice President of Brewing Operations at Founders, Alec is responsible for the Brewhouse, Cellar and Maintenance teams in one of the most dynamic breweries in America. Alec is active with the Hop Quality Group, has been an MBAA member since 1997 and is currently Board of Governors Rep, Past President and on the Technical Committee of the MBAA-District Michigan. He has served on the Board of the Michigan Brewers Guild and is currently on their Conference Planning Committee. Process minded and hop crazed, his beer of choice is loaded with hops.


Jason Perrault

Perrault Farms & Yakima Chief Ranches

Jason Perrault is a hop breeder and farmer from the Yakima Valley in Washington State. He is currently CEO of both Perrault Farms and Yakima Chief Ranches. As a fourth-generation farmer, Jason is deeply devoted to bringing long term sustainability and value to the hop industry through innovative breeding and management practices that will impact his family and others for generations to come. Jason became interested in plant breeding through the mentorship of the original breeder of Yakima Chief Ranches, Chuck Zimmerman. As a breeder for Yakima Chief Ranches and their partner company Hop Breeding Company, he is proud to have played an active role on the teams responsible for the development and release of several novel hop brands including Simcoe, Palisade, Warrior, Ahtanum, Citra, Mosaic, Ekuanot, Loral, Sabro, and Pahto.


Tom Shellhammer

Oregon State University

Tom Shellhammer is the Nor’Wester Professor of Fermentation Science in the Department of Food Science and Technology at Oregon State University. He is an internationally-recognized expert in hops chemistry and brewing science, and his lab investigates hops, beer quality and the origins of hop aroma and flavor in beer. He served as President of the American Society of Brewing Chemists, he is the current past-President of the District NW Master Brewers Association of the Americas, and currently serves on the Board of Examiners for the Institute of Brewing and Distilling.
