Various pressure gauges used for CO₂ determination, both pneumatic and hydraulic, present meaningful error and require constant maintenance and standardization. Therefore, a simple yet accurate method was developed that uses current state-of-the-art instrumentation. The method yields better accuracy than the previous methods used. Hardware needed are common shelf items that can be put into operation by in-house maintenance personnel. The ASBC standard method is used. A transducer that is read out on a process indicator gives pressure readings.
