Symposium Program

 

Symposium registration includes a light breakfast and lunch on April 3 and a beer & wine reception the evening prior (April 2). Please indicate on your registration if you plan to attend the reception the evening of April 2. Attire is business/casual.
Note: No one under 21 will be admitted to the workshop. A photo ID will be required at the workshop, reception, and the symposium.

Program/Topics: This year the format is a day and one half beginning with a workshop on April 2 and the full day symposium on April 3. Topics for the symposium will include: Yeast analysis including VDK production, sulfide production, genomic micro array analysis, Brettanomyces, and the latest TTB findings. The topic for the workshop is old and new world styles of beer and wine.

Who Should Attend? This symposium is designed to reach brewers and vintners, laboratory personnel, academics, and allied professionals in the brewing and winemaking industries. It is a unique opportunity to meet in a technical forum to discuss topics salient to both beer and wine.

Program Location: This fourth annual scientific symposium is being held at the UC Davis Campus, ARC building, Ballrooms A&B. There is ample parking at this facility and the parking rate is $6.00 per car. This link provides maps and directions for the campus: http://www.cevs.ucdavis.edu/map/
